Licensed Massage therapist

IMMEDIATE OPENING for an enthusiastic, talented, laid-back but focused massage therapist to work in our busy wellness center. We are currently seeking female applicants so that we can provide an alternative to the the male therapist in a current staffing gap. (Sorry guys!) Available shifts are:

Sunday 12 - 6, Wednesday 9 - 3, Wednesday 3 - 8, Friday 12 - 6, Friday 3 - 8 Saturday 2 - 5.

Additional sub work is usually available, so there is more opportunity readily available for the motivated MT. 

Who You Are:

The right candidate is either a motivated massage therapist looking to establish themselves in the field of massage therapy and put down some roots in a massage-home, or a part time LMT who has another area of interest/commitment who likes the ease of a contained work schedule and a predictable steady flow of clients. We have a high volume of pregnant clients, so we prefer someone that is skilled in the area of prenatal massage. This environment is a great for someone who has more of a therapeutic/deep-tissue/structural focus over someone with an interest in energetic work, although someone who blends the two areas would do very well here. We are an ego-free work place, so if you are highly competitive or unable to work collaboratively with other therapists, this job is not for you. Punctuality, Professionalism, Strong Ethics and a healthy dose of humor are the right qualities. We typically hire MTs with a minimum of one year experience, but we are willing to mentor a recent grad with excellent references and a strong work ethic.

Saltwater Massage Studio is a women-owned/massage therapist owned business which opened in 2013. Our first 5 years have been a whirlwind of growth as we have quickly tripled in size. Our staff currently consists of 2 full time MTs and 4 part time MTs. We have a strong reputation for providing deep, therapeutic work and we are currently expanding our menu to offer more specialized bodywork treatments, including ayurvedic bodywork as well body treatments incorporating high quality, small-batch organic skincare products and essential oils. Marketing & Customer Service Coordinator

Part-Time (20-24 hours/week, 3-4 day work schedule)

This is a jack-of-all-trades/right-hand-man type position working closely with the owner on all things marketing/customer service/merchandising.  Must have an interest in wellness/holistic health and/or indie brands and organic skincare.  Must demonstrate social media savvy via personal feed or a page you manage.  In addition to all the fun creative stuff, the day-to-day will include basic reception duties such as answering phones, greeting clients, folding laundry and keeping the studio clean.  You will often be responsible for being the face of the business, so it is essential that you have good judgement, that you can talk to anyone about anything, and maintain a professional appearance in a health & wellness setting.  To apply, email a resume and introduction letter to  

Specific job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Meet weekly with business owner to create social media/promotional plans and discuss ongoing projects
  • Perform all reception desk functions while scheduled, including answering phones, appointment scheduling, greeting clients, cleaning and laundry
  • Post/Schedule social media content and create client newsletter
  • Maintain client database using MindBody Online and problem solve issues as needed
  • Create training manual and protocols and train new hires all aspects of customer service and general studio operations
  • Solicit client testimonials for use on website and social media
  • Assist with bookkeeping and organizational projects
  • Maintain supplies inventory
  • Participate in hiring process for admin and MT staff
  • Oversee staffing of front desk and time off planning as needed
  • Update retail and window displays and exterior decorations.
  • Delegate special projects to admin team weekly

Start Date:  April 1st.  Pay: $17/hr + free massage perks + discounts on retail products


Licensed Massage Therapist

We are always on the look out for talented massage therapists and holistic healers looking to find their home.   This is a collaborative, team environment and we pride ourselves in having a healthy, ego-free, competitive work environment.  The benefit of working in an environment like this is that the work flow is predictable (i.e. a predictable income) and your schedule is set.  It's perfect for someone who has other commitments (such as family, another job, program, or hobby) and wants to be busy when they are working but not have to think about things like marketing, bookkeeping and laundry when they are not at work.

We are currently looking for MTs able to commit to 3 shifts per week.  Must be available 1 weekend day and 1 evening.

Timeslots Available:

Tuesday: 3:30 - 8:30

Wednesday: 9 - 2:30, 2:30 - 8:30

Friday: 9 - 3:30,  4 - 8:30

Saturday: 9 - 2:30,  2:30 - 7:30

Sunday:  12 - 6
